First off let me establish some context for those of you that have been living under a rock for the past few weeks or perhaps were off the grid enjoying the freedom of not constantly being connected. Exhibit A Beyonce’s Superbowl 50 performance (outfit context):

Next piece of valuable background information is Beyonce’s formation video (pay close attention to the lyrics).
Ok so now that you have the context you can understand how hilarious this meme is. But the complexity regarding the lamination of these two images is why this meme has earned the TS Award of the week. Overlaying the formation swag of Beyonce with the politics of Hilary Clinton is complex because it is a convergence of an unapologetically black song with a politician’s marital woes, namely a politician who’s meandering to gain the black vote has raised more than one eyebrow. But even more interesting is this isn’t the first time Beyonce has been tied to the Clinton and Monica Lewinsky narrative. Does anyone recall the lyrics from Partition? “He Monica Lewinsky’d all on my gown”
Despite the hilarity (see what I did there) found in this meme, Clinton wearing Beyonce’s outfit of strength and power, yet one of the haters Clinton is referring to is Beyonce. The question I want to ask is what is the tie between Beyonce’s performance of femininity and sexuality and the Monica Lewinsky narrative?
Think on it and comment or rather #ClapBack below.
